A web app is the tool, not the brochure

A marketing website explains the business. A web app is where a signed-in person does the work: a client portal, a staff console, a booking board, a catalogue only partners can see. The two can share a domain and a visual system. They should not share a scope. The public pages can be a website, which starts from ₹15,000. The signed-in product is estimated from the screens, the roles, and the data.

Gurugram companies often arrive with a website that collects enquiries and a separate mess of sheets behind it. The web app is the piece that replaces the mess for the people who log in every day. Visitors who are not customers never see it. That split keeps the public site fast and keeps private records off the marketing pages.

Portal work is scoped from the Gurugram offices against the roles you actually have. Aukark was founded on 14 November 2020 and the team is 15 people. Headquarters is DLF Phase 2, Sector 25, Gurugram, on +91 94522 09150. The second office is on Golf Course Road, Sector 54, Gurugram, on +91 78359 61012. A first meeting can be at either office or on a call.

Accounts, roles, and the everyday screen

Start with one role and the screen that role uses most. An operations lead might need a queue. A client might need a status and a file download. An accountant might need an export. Building all three before any of them is finished is how projects stall. The first release picks the role whose day changes the most.

Sign-in is a product decision. Email and a one-time code is enough for many portals. Passwords, session length, and who may invite the next user are written down. If a payment happens inside the portal, the payment provider holds the card or UPI instrument. The app stores the result: paid, failed, refunded. It does not store the raw instrument.

The mobile band of ₹2,00,000 – ₹4,00,000 describes a phone app with accounts, payments, and an admin panel. A web app can include the same three ideas and still be a different quote, because the interface, the devices, and the store rules are different. Say which surface is in the first release. A responsive browser app is not automatically an App Store product.

What the proposal has to name

The proposal names the roles, the records, the integrations, and what is out of scope. Out of scope is a kindness. It stops a later argument about a report nobody mentioned. Hosting, the domain, and backups are named too. The client's accounts hold the production keys.

Performance is part of the requirement when the screen is a long list or a map of jobs. Tell us how many rows a normal day contains. A portal for forty active jobs and a portal that filters a decade of invoices are scoped as the products they are, from the number you provide.

You can read Ganga Tourist, Arte Salon, and Aurafloral on the work page. They document website work. Use them as evidence that projects are written up. Do not read them as web-app metrics. None are claimed on this page.

Where this sits beside the other services

Design for the signed-in screens is UI/UX design, including workflows and design systems. Phone apps are mobile app development. Search for the public site is SEO, and the Gurugram overview is SEO Company in Gurgaon. The portal serves the people who sign in. The public pages get their own SEO scope when search is part of the brief.

A first workshop covers the week in the life of the main role, the systems that must stay, and the ones that may be retired. Bring a sample login if a current tool exists, and a list of people who must approve the flow. Two approvers who want different statuses will cost more than any framework choice.

After launch, the useful support is a named person who can report a broken step, plus a short list of accepted changes. An unnamed 'make it better' retainer is not a plan. Each change gets a note: the screen, the role, and what done means.

A portal slice you can accept

A web app slice is finished when one role can sign in, finish the job, and sign out, and a second role can see the result. For a client portal, that might be 'upload a file and see the status the staff set'. For a staff console, it might be 'take the next item in the queue and mark it done'. Pick one. Build the empty state for that screen, because the first day the queue is empty and the screen must not look broken.

The browser is the product. Say which browsers your staff actually open. A portal that only works on a laptop is a stated limit, not a defect, if your team does not use phones for that job. If they do, the same screen has to be usable at a phone width. That is a requirement in the proposal, not a later complaint.

Files, exports, and mail are the usual integrations and they need an owner. Who provides the mailbox, the storage bucket, and the sample file that is large enough to matter? A demo with a tiny sample hides the problem you will hit on day one. Bring a realistic file. The Gurugram offices can sit with that file in the room.
